1. The service
TrialValid lets a seller who has connected their own payment processor account run free trials that are backed by a hold on the buyer's card. Payments, balances and refunds happen in the seller's payment processor account under the processor's own terms. TrialValid does not hold the seller's money.
2. Seller responsibilities
- You decide the price, the trial length and the terms you offer, and you are responsible for them.
- You must show buyers the authorization text TrialValid builds, and you may not change it so that it hides the amount, the charge date or how to cancel.
- You are responsible for complying with the consumer, auto-renewal and card network rules that apply to your trials.
- You handle refunds for charges made after a trial has ended.
3. Fees and trial
The Starter plan is $29 a month and starts with a 14-day trial for $1, charged at sign-up; when the trial ends the plan is charged unless you cancel first, and it renews every month until you cancel. To cancel, send the ready-made cancel email on the billing page; no reason is needed and the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. Growth, Scale, Pro, Max and Enterprise start with a booked onboarding call and are paid afterwards. The plan price covers every transaction on money in your payment processor account.
4. Refunds
Your first paid plan month can be refunded within 7 days of paying it. The $1 trial fee is not part of that month. There is no other money-back promise.
5. No guarantee
Card holds can lapse, be declined or be released by the issuer, and a trial can end without a capture. The service is provided as is, and no uptime or conversion result is promised.
6. Ending the service
You can disconnect your payment processor account whenever you like.
