Switch from 1Capture to TrialValid: moves and changes

Move card-backed trials from 1Capture to TrialValid: what carries over, the setup steps and how plans differ. Checked 2026-10-23.

Last reviewed

A move from 1Capture to TrialValid keeps your Stripe records where they are and rebuilds pages, variants, alerts and domain setup (2026-10-23).

What it costs

TrialValid Starter is $29 a month for accounts under $10,000 of monthly recurring revenue, starting with a 14-day trial for $1. Above that the price follows your revenue band: Growth is $95 a month, Scale $295, Pro $595 and Max $995, and Enterprise from $1,995 a month. 1Capture's pricing page lists $0 under $10,000 of monthly recurring revenue (1Capture page) and one flat monthly price per band above it, from $95 (1Capture page). The plan table under What changes sets every band side by side.

What moves over

Both products run card-backed free trials inside your own Stripe account, so the move is a rebuild of the trial layer and not a transfer of customer data. 1Capture page Each row pairs something you run in 1Capture with where it lives in TrialValid.

Card hold and capture before the trial endsThe same flow: a hold at signup, a trial subscription in your Stripe account and a capture shortly before the trial ends. The capture schedule and retries are in the trial lifecycle.1Capture page
Customers, payments and subscriptionsThese stay in your Stripe account, and TrialValid works in that same account. Nothing in the Stripe records needs a transfer. See getting started.1Capture page

What does not carry over directly

  • Google Analytics events: 1Capture can send trial-page events to your own Google Analytics property (1Capture page). TrialValid records first-touch attribution and per-variant numbers in its own reports, and its pages describe no Google Analytics feed.
  • Short links: 1Capture puts a page on a shared short-link domain first (1Capture page). TrialValid pages are served from your own domain, so plan the domain before you switch.
  • Reporting history: the numbers collected in 1Capture stay in 1Capture. Copy the figures you want to keep before you close the account, since the page lists an analytics export only among API features still in development (1Capture page).

How long it takes

TrialValid setup is 5 steps in the getting started guide, and the checklist below adds the work of rebuilding what you already run. 1Capture page Your own time depends on how many pages and variants you rebuild. Starter begins with a 14-day trial for $1, so you can run a first trial page before you choose a plan.

Switching checklist

  1. List what you run today in 1Capture: pages and their variants, the domain each page uses, the Slack channel for alerts, and the figures you want to keep.
  2. Connect your Stripe account in TrialValid. Stripe Connect OAuth reads your active subscriptions to place you on a plan; Starter is the plan for accounts under $10,000 of monthly recurring revenue.
  3. Create a trial page for each Stripe price you sell, with the same trial length you use now.
  4. Recreate the variants worth keeping, or have a model write new ones and review them.
  5. Add your Slack webhook and set the trial value that should trigger an alert.
  6. Point your domain at the new page, or serve it from a domain you already own.
  7. Send new signups to the TrialValid page. Trials that already started in 1Capture are subscriptions in your Stripe account, so let them run to the end of their trial under the old setup.
  8. Pick your plan: Starter starts online, and Growth, Scale, Pro, Max and Enterprise start with a booked call. See pricing.

Do my customers and subscriptions need to move?

No. Your customer, payment and subscription records never leave Stripe, and TrialValid works against that same account. 1Capture page

What happens to trials that are already running?

They are subscriptions in your Stripe account. TrialValid's pages describe trials it starts itself and say nothing about taking over a hold placed by another product, so let running trials finish and send new signups to the new page.

What does TrialValid cost compared with 1Capture?

The table above sets the two side by side. TrialValid starts at $29 per month with a 14-day trial for $1, and larger plans follow your revenue band.

Can I keep my own domain?

Yes. Pages can be served from your own domain. See trial pages.

Can I talk to someone before I switch?

Yes. Book a call, or write to hello@trialvalid.com.

What we could not verify

  • Whether a 1Capture dashboard can export your page history: the pages read do not say.
  • How 1Capture handles a hold that is still open when an account is closed: the pages read do not say.
  • How 1Capture counts monthly recurring revenue, beyond reading it from the connected Stripe account.
