Stripe
Stripe is the one integration every seller needs. You connect your own account with Stripe Connect OAuth, and every hold, subscription, capture, refund and balance credit is made in that account.
- Scope. TrialValid asks for the
read_writescope: it reads your prices and active subscriptions and writes holds, trial subscriptions, captures, refunds and balance credits. - Starting the connection. The start link is single use and lasts 5 minutes. Opening it shows a confirmation page that names the TrialValid account being connected and spends nothing. The page cannot be shown inside another site's frame.
- Revoking. Disconnect from the TrialValid API, or revoke the connection in your Stripe account. TrialValid receives Stripe's deauthorization event and stops. One Stripe account belongs to one TrialValid account.
- Events. Stripe sends events to a webhook endpoint that checks each signature. Each event is processed once, even if Stripe delivers it again.
Slack
You add a Slack incoming webhook and TrialValid posts to it. Only https://hooks.slack.com/services/... addresses are accepted. The address is stored as a secret and shown masked.
- A trial at or above a value threshold you set has started.
- A capture failed.
- A hold was lost.
- A dispute was opened.
The trial reminder is sent through the mail adapter, from TrialValid, with your address as the reply-to. It states the amount, the charge date and how to cancel.
Custom domains
Trial pages can run on your own hostname through the Vercel domains API. You publish a DNS TXT record at _trialvalid-challenge.<your hostname> to prove you control the name. A claim that is never proven reserves nothing and lapses after 72 hours.
Page variants from a model
A model can write a new page variant from a description of your product. The output is checked against a schema, stored as an inactive variant that no buyer sees, and goes live only when you activate it.
