| At a glance | Magai |
|---|---|
| What it is | A hub that gives access to many chat, image and video AI models, with agents, a document editor and integrations, under one login. |
| What it costs (checked 2026-10-19) | $20, $40 or $200 a month by plan, with a yearly option the page says saves 17%. |
| Who built it, per its own company page | Its about page presents a small named team led by a founder and chief executive, and states a mission to make AI access simple. |
| Who it suits | Individuals and small teams that want several models in one place, and who prefer one bill to separate subscriptions. |
| Verdict | Reasonable value if you really switch between models. The page says there is no free trial, so the first month is the test. |
What Magai is
Magai is a workspace that connects to the application programming interfaces of several AI providers, so one account reaches chat models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI and others, plus image and video generators. The pricing page stresses that every plan includes every model and tool, and that plans differ in how much you can use, not in what you can reach.
Features worth knowing
- Model switching inside a single chat, so a conversation can continue on another model without starting over.
- Reusable agents: the page counts 50 or more built in and says you can write your own, available at no limit on all three plans.
- Scheduled task runs, which are the clearest dividing line between plans: 100 a month on Standard, 1,000 on Pro and no cap on Ultra.
- Integrations: the comparison lists 150 or more connections to email, calendars, customer records and social tools.
- A canvas editor that exports documents to PDF or Word, saved prompts, folders for chats, and an importer for existing conversations from other assistants.
Who is behind it
The about page describes Magai as built by a team of designers, engineers and support staff, introduces eight people by role, and frames its vision as helping people do more with AI. It makes no statement about funding or headcount beyond that list, and we add none.
What it costs
| Plan | Monthly price | Monthly usage included | Scheduled task runs | Support |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $20 | $20 | 100 | Standard |
| Pro | $40 | $40 | 1,000 | Priority |
| Ultra | $200 | $200 | Unlimited | Priority |
Prices checked 2026-10-19 on the pricing page. On each plan the usage amount equals the plan price, so Pro buys twice the usage of Standard for twice the money and Ultra buys five times the usage of Pro for five times the money. Standard lists extra users at $20 each, which would put a team of four at $80 a month if the plan covers the first seat. Pro and Ultra list extra users at custom rates, and above 10 seats the page points to enterprise sales.
When usage runs out nothing is locked, the FAQ says, and you can top up in steps of $5, $10, $20 or move up a plan.
Alternatives
The direct alternatives are the vendors' own subscriptions, such as ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, and other multi-model workspaces. We have not tested any of them against Magai.
Who it fits
Someone who routinely compares outputs from different models, runs recurring prompts as scheduled tasks, or shares chats with a few teammates will see the most from it. A person who only ever uses one assistant gains little from the model list and may do better on that assistant's own plan. Companies with more than ten seats are directed to a sales conversation, so the published prices stop being the whole story there.
Is it worth it
At $20 a month for access to every model, the entry price is within the range of one standalone assistant plan, which is the comparison the vendor itself draws. The honest trade is a smaller usage allowance in exchange for breadth. We have not measured how far $20 of monthly usage goes, since the page says it depends on the models and tools you pick, so the first month is where you learn whether Standard is enough or whether you need Pro.
How this relates to a card-backed trial
The FAQ answers the free-trial question with a plain no and points to its refund policy instead. That puts the buyer's risk on the payment, not on a trial period. Sellers who prefer to let people try before paying can hold a card at sign-up and charge it when a trial ends, which is the flow described on our product page.
