Carrd review: pricing and who it suits

A dated look at Carrd, the single page site builder: its free tier, the yearly Pro prices as listed, what each tier adds and who it suits.

No affiliate, sponsorship or commercial relationship exists between TrialValid and this vendor, and nothing here was paid for. Prices and statements are the vendor's own, read on the date shown.
At a glanceCarrd
What it isA builder for one-page websites: profile pages, landing pages and small email-capture pages.
What it costsFree for up to three sites. Pro plans are billed per year, from $9 (Pro Lite) to $49 (Pro Plus) for the smallest site counts. Checked 2026-10-19.
Who built itThe site footer names Carrd Inc. There is no separate about page to read (see below).
Who it suitsSolo founders who need a fast single page for a waitlist, a product teaser or a link hub.
VerdictVery low yearly prices for what it does. It is a page builder, not a place to run a subscription product.

What Carrd is

Carrd builds single-page sites. You pick a starting template or a blank page, edit it in the browser and publish. The home page describes the result as responsive at every screen size, and says the whole free tier is meant for personal profiles, landing pages that capture emails and "something a bit more elaborate".

For a SaaS founder the typical use is a page ahead of a launch: a headline, a short pitch and an email form that feeds a mailing tool. It can also sit in front of a product as a simple promo page while the real app lives elsewhere. A multi-page marketing site with a blog is outside what a one-page builder sets out to do.

Features worth knowing

  • Free tier: up to three sites per account with the core features, per the home page.
  • Custom domains on the Pro Standard and Pro Plus tiers, with SSL provided through Let's Encrypt.
  • Forms on the Standard and Plus tiers: contact, signup forms that connect to mail tools such as Kit, Mailchimp and Brevo, custom forms and payment-enabled forms.
  • Widgets and embeds for third-party services, which is how a Stripe or PayPal button gets onto a page.
  • Analytics hooks for Google Analytics, Plausible and Matomo on the Standard and Plus tiers.
  • Removal of the Made with Carrd footer branding on every Pro tier.
  • Higher site counts: 10 or 25 sites on the entry tiers, rising to 1,000 on the larger Standard and Plus plans.

Who is behind it

I looked for a company page. The usual about address answered with a 404 on 2026-10-19, so the only company statement I could read is the footer of the home page, which names Carrd Inc. as the copyright holder. I am not adding anything about the people or the history, because nothing I read states it.

What the vendor does say about itself is product positioning: simple, responsive, one-page sites. That is the whole company description on the pages I read.

Source: carrd.com/pro, read 2026-10-19. The page lists many more site-count steps for each family; the rows above are a selection. It says you can renew automatically each year or pay as you go.

My arithmetic on the entry points: $19 a year is about $1.58 a month, and $49 a year is about $4.08 a month. Those are the lowest recurring prices in this group of reviews by a wide margin.

Alternatives

Other tools people weigh for a landing page include Webflow, Framer, Leadpages and Unbounce, plus a hand-built page on your own hosting.

Who it fits

  • A founder collecting waitlist emails before a product exists.
  • A maker who wants a custom domain for a link hub or a promo page and does not want a monthly bill.
  • An agency or freelancer who needs many small client pages and will use a higher site-count tier.
  • Anyone testing a headline: building a variant takes minutes, so the cost of a wrong guess is small.

Is it worth it

On the figures the page states, the free tier is enough to put up a credible single page, and $19 a year buys the custom domain and the form and analytics hooks that make that page useful for a launch. If the job is one page that collects emails, the cost is hard to argue with.

The limits come from the category rather than from the price. A one-page builder will not host a product dashboard, a billing flow or a growing library of articles. Once a product has paying users, the page is a front door and the real work happens elsewhere.

How it relates to a card-backed trial

The home page offers a free seven-day trial of Pro and says PayPal and all major credit and debit cards are accepted. The pages I read do not say whether a card is needed to start that trial, so check at sign-up before assuming either way.

That is the useful contrast for a SaaS seller. Carrd's price is low enough that a mistaken charge costs little, so a long explanation of terms matters less. A product that charges more per month is in a different position: the buyer is trusting a larger number, and a card check at the start, with the trial end date shown, is how TrialValid card holds deal with that. You can also see how it plays out in your own numbers.

Questions people ask

Is Carrd free?

The home page says you can build up to three sites per account and use the core features at no cost. Custom domains, forms, widgets, analytics and branding removal need a Pro plan, which starts at $9 a year for Pro Lite and $19 a year for Pro Standard as listed on 2026-10-19.

Can I take card payments through a Carrd page?

The Pro page lists payment-enabled forms and embeds for services such as Stripe and PayPal on the Standard and Plus tiers. Anything beyond a simple payment button, such as a subscription with a trial, belongs in a billing tool rather than in a page builder.

How many sites does each plan allow?

The free tier allows three. The Pro Lite and Pro Standard families start at 3 or 10 sites and rise in steps; Pro Standard is listed up to 1,000 sites at $599 a year and Pro Plus up to 1,000 sites at $999 a year.
