# Terms of service

The terms for using TrialValid: what the service does, seller responsibilities, fees, refunds and how to end the service.

These terms apply to your use of TrialValid ("we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@trialvalid.com.

## The service

TrialValid lets a seller who has connected their own payment processor account run free trials that are backed by a hold on the buyer's card. Payments, balances and refunds happen in the seller's payment processor account under the processor's own terms. TrialValid does not hold the seller's money.

## Seller responsibilities

- You decide the price, the trial length and the terms you offer, and you are responsible for them.
- You must show buyers the authorization text TrialValid builds, and you may not change it so that it hides the amount, the charge date or how to cancel.
- You are responsible for complying with the consumer, auto-renewal and card network rules that apply to your trials.
- You handle refunds for charges made after a trial has ended.

## Fees and trial

The Starter plan is $29 a month and starts with a 14-day trial for $1, charged at sign-up; when the trial ends the plan is charged unless you cancel first, and it renews every month until you cancel. To cancel, send the ready-made cancel email on the [billing page](https://trialvalid.com/billing); no reason is needed and the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. Growth, Scale, Pro, Max and Enterprise start with a booked onboarding call and are paid afterwards. The plan price covers every transaction on money in your payment processor account.

## Refunds

Your first paid plan month can be refunded within 7 days of paying it. The $1 trial fee is not part of that month. There is no other money-back promise.

## No guarantee

Card holds can lapse, be declined or be released by the issuer, and a trial can end without a capture. The service is provided as is, and no uptime or conversion result is promised.

## Ending the service

You can disconnect your payment processor account whenever you like.
