# Alerts and statement descriptors

> **For AI agents:** the complete index of TrialValid pages is [llms.txt](https://trialvalid.com/llms.txt). Every page is also served as markdown at its URL plus .md.

Slack alerts for high-value trials, failed captures, lost holds and disputes, and card statement descriptors derived from your brand.

## Slack alerts you control

You add a Slack incoming-webhook URL. TrialValid posts a message when a trial at or above a threshold you set starts, when a capture fails, when a hold is lost and when a dispute is opened. Only `https://hooks.slack.com/services/...` URLs are accepted, and the URL is stored as a secret and shown masked.

## Statement descriptors that people recognize

The card statement suffix is derived from your brand, up to 10 characters. A descriptor you set yourself must be 5 to 22 Latin characters with at least one letter and none of `< > \ ' " *`. Stripe may overwrite part of the text on trial-end charges, so the first characters matter most.
